£35,000 was raised for charities at this year’s Little Britain – An amazing 40% increase on last year

This year’s 2017 Little Britain Regatta raised a whopping £35,000 for sailing charities. An increase of over 40% on last year’s donations. This year, the funds will be shared between The Ellen Macarthur Cancer Trust, the Cirdan Sailing Trust and the 1851 Trust who do fabulous work with very ill children and youths, and under privileged inner-city kids through sailing.  Little Britian will also be supporting local Isle of Wight sailing charities and the RNLI.

Considering the significant changes we made to the regatta including a 35% lower ‘entry fee’ – it is a remarkable achievement.  We should be very proud of this fabulous result  – and it shows just how generous our crews and sponsors are, and how hard the voluntee committee worked to make this happen” – 2017 Regatta Chairman – David Kong.
