Entry Prices

The Entry Price to the 2024 Little Britain Challenge Cup will be confirmed shortly.

Please check back in the new year.

We have held our prices for over 5 years, and a small increase will be expected in 2024.
Sorry about that. Inflation. But remember all surplus profits are given to charities.  So that’s pretty good.

Entry prices are kept extra-ordinarily low due to the industry volunteer team setting up the regatta each year, for free, and we mustn’t forget the generous support of the sponsors such Brown and Carroll, Knightbuild, Tala Homes, Gunners Cocktails and Oander.

The volunteer team don’t get paid for their time and fortunately they do it ‘coz’ of  their love for sailing and the many lovely people in our industry [particularly if they like sailing].  Remember, all surplus funds are donated to great sailing charities so anything you think is a little pricey [which it isn’t] actually goes to very good causes.

Yacht chartering and local accommodation costs aren’t cheap, as are the excellent local restaurant but they are reasonable.  These chaps all provide their much needed services locally and they do make a profit but not always.

  • THE ENTRY FEE INCLUDES:
  • Berthing at Shepards Wharf, Cowes: Complimentary berthing from Thursday, @1600h to Sunday until 12 noon. Dates TBC.  Visitors have access to the marina’s washroom & shower facilities.
  • Five races organised by the Island Sailing Club. Two races on Friday and three races on Saturday.
There will be no Thursday practice race organised.
  • Registration pack: Includes latest eco water resistant race chart,  the Little Britain Regatta racing pennant, a copy of LBCC sailing instructions plus complimentary event access passes or wrist bands.
  • Event Access Passes for all your crew and onshore team. Event Passes give your team access to the marina, marina facilities, the pontoon parties where you can meet and network with all the crews and the newcomers. The Sugar Store bar and the entertainment areas will be open, and access to the amazing yacht clubs or sailing clubs on the Island will be available.   It’s amazing how many pubs there are between the marina and the yacht clubs:  The Duke of York, the Anchor pub, Pier View, the Fountain, Vectis, the Union.  It’s a wonder how any of us make it to the sailing clubs in one piece.  Some don’t.  Event passes will be provided at registration. Additional passes can be ordered from the regatta team FOC.
  •  Numbered hull stickers will not be used this year due to sustainability issues i.e. single use plastic, & litter in the water or onshore. Sail numbers will be the boat identifier.

  • Prices exclude VAT
  • You can pay a £500 + vat deposit online to secure your place,
and complete your boat and crew details later.
  • Crew details must be completed in full before Friday regatta day registration at 0800h.
  • Evening meals  should be ordered separately at your dining venues, i.e. restaurant of your choosing. Although the local fish n chip shop is excellent.
  • The Little Britain BBQ awards supper will be organised. Details and tickets will be available nearer the time
  • Social Entry Passes are available for those who would like to access the regatta venues and join in but have not entered a boat: a 2 day pass = £40 + vat each
